1, 2 Ready Go!

My daughter Carly sticks her finger up her nose in protest to being told no. I'm not sure how she decided that this was the best way to express her frustration with the the whole "mom in charge" concept,  but I am grateful that she's not simply giving me the finger. Although it feels like it sometimes...

Carly after being told to "please not throw her sippy cup at Rudy's head".
And yes, I took a picture of her with her finger up her nose. I know she'll appreciate it someday.
I have been back at work since last Thursday and I am completely exhausted. The library was in shambles, and it is now less in shambles, but still not where I want it. Scattered books, dewey numbers and possible big changes are keeping me up late at night. That, and the fact that Carly needs to wake from a dead sleep at 3 a.m. every morning is not helping me look my best these past few days.

Samantha heading to 3rd grade.  XOXO
I haven't been able to sew for a week. That may not sound like a long time, but I am missing it! It slows my constant obsessing and calms my rattled nerves. It serves as an outlet for all my pent up creativity. I am hoping things will calm down soon and I can start sewing in the evenings again, if only for an hour. I have the most beautiful fat quarters from Fabric Worm that includes cuts from Jay-Cyn Designs Happy Cruisers collection. I want to make a bicycle quilt for me!

Samantha has transitioned into 3rd grade beautifully and Rudy will be an official kindergartner starting Thursday. Carly is holding down the fort at her grandparents' house. I know we'll get back into the swing of things, for but some reason I'm finding it a lot harder this year.

I need that fabric! And then I need, someday, to make myself something with it. Kids are cute, too!

Hey Jenny, I love the pictures of your babies. I hope everything will
calm down after you get use to your routine. I didnt start quilting until I had an empty nest
so I know you are having a hard time to find time for your quilting. I was lucky and got to sew for a while today, some things for a Civil War BOW and for my guild. Hug those babies they grow up so fast.
Happy sewing
